You know that weird person that tends to stand around and stare into space?
That’s Me!
But I’m not just staring into nowhere– My thoughts are a wonderland, full of ideas, stories, and things that inspire me that I’m just dying to get on paper! I’m an illustrator, after all. It’s my job to dream, and imagine and bring ideas to life, mine and those of others. So if you made it to this page, and you’re reading this now, then I personally welcome you to see what I have to share, to get to know me through my work, and likewise I hope I get to know you too, and maybe in some way, we can also inspire each other!
Loved your blog!

Hello Tina! Drawing from the imagination is a challenge, even for me. Sometimes I will draw an image 2-3-4 times to completion before I land on a version that actually captures what I imagined in my mind. It was a while back, but I met an artist who was teaching a workshop who gave me some handy tips. He said to build a visual library of references– aka, if I see something I like, save it, or take a picture of it, and use the references you gather to help define the idea you want to put on paper. Aka- references are your best friend! You’re free to keep to your own ideas, but you use references to make them realized. Its just something that’s helped me a lot and I use it, all the time and it helps me continue to get better at realizing my ideas.

Are you looking only for concept & artworks stuff, or do you have any interest for comic books ?

Thank you 😀 Actually my first love has always been comics. That’s what started me on wanting to be an artist. Not so much the interior panels, but the covers. I love the cover art, and I’d love to do them . Character design is kind of like a second love of mine, that was spurned on by a third love– to write. I’d always write these ideas for stories I’d like to do, and so I would create and design the characters in them. Long story short, it all goes hand in hand 😀

Gorgeous artwork- saw you on Gaia! Hope you don’t mind me asking- but what program do you use? You have such a pretty painterly style- that can’t just be on photoshop!

Hi Koro-san, sorry for the delayed response 🙂 Thank you for your compliments! I use Photoshop for my programs– I’ve been working with it for years, and in general have developed a more painter-esk style with the strokes I use to get a semi-traditional look in my work 🙂
